ACNE

Acne vulgaris (or acne) is a common human skin disease, characterized by areas of skin with seborrhea (scaly red skin), comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules (pinheads), pustules (pimples), nodules (large papules) and possibly scarring. Acne affects mostly skin with the densest population of sebaceous follicles; these areas include the face, the upper part of the chest, and the back. Severe acne is inflammatory, but acne can also manifest in noninflammatory forms.
The lesions are caused by changes in pilosebaceous units, skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its associated sebaceous gland, changes that require androgen stimulation.
Acne occurs most commonly during adolescence, affecting more than 96% of teenagers, and often continues into adulthood. If not properly taken care of,acne could turn into a nightmare as it could discolor and disfigure the face

MAKEUP TRICKS FOR THE LIPS

1. You cannot disguise flaky lips with lipstick. In fact it hurts a little and it looks uglier. Therefore it is very important to protect your lips with a lip balm.

2. Avoid Vaseline or anything that is petroleum based when conditioning your lips, it will cause your lipstick colour to slide off. Instead choose waxy Chap Stick and allow it to sink in your lips for a few minutes. It helps your lip colour to last longer too.

3. If you have naturally dark lips and have a natural darker skin tone. Dark lipstick colour will flatter your natural skin tone. If you wish to have a lighter lip tone, you may apply creamy foundation to your lips and apply your desired lip colour. Do avoid colours that are bright, shimmery or pastel as these colours are not the most suitable for people with darker skin tone.

4. You may find that perfect red lipstick by mixing and matching your own red lipstick colour tone. Add a little brown to your bright red lipstick to experiment until you find the colour tone that suits you.

5. Make up can be a temporarily solution to deep lines and wrinkles above your lips. You can use cream based makeup with reflective ingredients that will actually fill in the lines and make the lines on your face less visible. I would recommend a good skincare regime to concealing all these lines.

BEAUTY REGIMEN...WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

A beauty regimen is a set of rules about caring for your face which you follow in
order to keep it healthy and prevent breakouts(more on that when you continue)
The basic beauty regimen is:

*Cleansing *Exfoliating *Toning* Moisturizing.

CLEANSING means washing the face with a facial cleanser

EXFOLIATING means the removal of dead skin cells from the skin, with the use of a facial mask or scrub.

TONING is making the facial muscles firmer, with the use of an Astringent.

An astringent is a substance that draws tissue together.

MOISTURIZING is applying cream to the face to prevent it from drying out.

Try this and you will enjoy a glowing complexion. Don’t forget to drink a lot of water as this helps to cleanse the body system.

There are three basic SKIN TYPES:

2. Normal or combination

BEAUTY WITHOUT MAKEUP?

This write up is not aimed at condemning people who feel comfortable without makeup, but it is meant to show how important looking good is and how it can help boost your morale(self esteem)

Beauty is no longer a dream. It is a reality and achievable by anyone. Take stock of your face and body. Live the life you deserve. Even if you truly think you got the perfect features and skin. You must invest in a good skin care regime(more on that later) to maintain them.

I do believe that makeup does wonder for every woman who takes time to apply it properly. Which pageant allows a naked face up the catwalk? Which supermodel in this world goes on the glossy magazine without makeup?

Do seek professional advice and take time out to doll yourself up. Do not over do your makeup, introduce makeup into your life gradually. Use nude lipsticks and subtle shadow colours. No one would notice that you have any makeup on, except that radiance you are emitting. And they won't understand why you are looking so gorgeous tonight.
